As the Fuerza Site Coordinator at Corazón Community Services, Roxana Barranco is dedicated to empowering youth and fostering their personal and academic growth. Since joining the organization in February 2022, Roxana has played a key role in expanding opportunities that promote positive youth development while reducing risk-taking behaviors. With a passion for creating engaging and impactful programs, Roxana is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the young individuals served by Corazón. Having been personally influenced by the organization as a former youth participant, Roxana understands the profound impact of community support and strives to provide the same transformative experience for others.
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Roxana is focused on strengthening their skills to better serve and advocate for youth. Through education and experience, she aims to continue building effective programs that support young people’s growth and well-being. Outside of work, Roxana enjoys dancing, sports, and spending time in nature.
