Rowan is a dedicated community organizer with a diverse background in nonprofits, community engagement, and political activism. Originally from the Philippines, Rowan's immigrant journey fostered a deep commitment to empowering communities of color and advocating for marginalized groups. At the University of Urbana Champaign, he studied Political Science and Informatics, focusing on public policy and community organizing. Leveraging his lived experiences, Rowan testified on behalf of the Rise Act in collaboration with the Rise Act Task Force, championing essential financial support for minority students disqualified from federal aid.


Throughout his professional journey, Rowan has gained valuable experience in prominent nonprofits and government offices such as Chicago Cares, PASO (West Suburban Action Project), the Office of Representative Carol Ammons, and Morton School District 201. Dedicated to uplifting grassroots initiatives and propelling progressive policies, he currently serves as the Director of Development at Corazón Community Services and holds a position as a Board Member for Awake. In these roles, he leverages his expertise in fundraising and social impact leadership to support youth development and community building.


Rowan aspires to pursue a career in public office, aiming to amplify his impact on community development through an equity-focused lens.
