HR Coordinator
Nancy Yazmin Ibarra began her journey with Corazón Community Services in 2010 as a volunteer shortly after high school. That same year, she participated in the Health Ambassador Cohort, which sparked a deep passion for community service. Over the years, she took on roles as a Youth Mentor and later as a Health Programs Coordinator, supporting young people through mentorship and health initiatives. In 2013, she took a step back to focus on family while remaining committed to community work.
In the spring of 2024, she returned to Corazón as an HR/Operations Intern, where she took on the significant task of rewriting the organization's employee handbook. This experience solidified her passion for human resources and its critical role in strengthening organizations, leading them to pursue a Master’s in HR and Industrial-Organizational Psychology at National Louis University. Now serving as the HR Coordinator, she collaborates closely with the co-executive directors and department heads to streamline HR processes, enhance employee engagement, and ensure policy compliance. Her goal is to align HR strategies with Corazón’s mission, fostering a positive work environment that empowers both staff and the community.
