Workforce Development Manager
Nancy Gomez is the Workforce Development Manager at Corazón Community Services, where she oversees the Illinois Youth Investment Program, also known as the Youth Ambassador Program. This innovative approach to youth employment addresses the unique barriers young people face, including their physical, emotional, social, and mental health needs. The program supports youth in securing and maintaining long-term, career-focused employment, ultimately empowering them to achieve success and self-sufficiency. With a deep commitment to community service, Nancy is dedicated to helping young individuals overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a focus on Social Services and Spanish from Dominican University. She began her journey at Corazón in 2016 as a Youth Worker in the Teen REACH program at Unity Junior High. In 2021, she transitioned to Freedom Middle School in Berwyn School District 100, where she assisted students in the Special Education program. Her passion for community engagement grew, leading her to return to Corazón in the Health Department. Now, as Workforce Development Manager, Nancy is excited to continue making a positive impact on youth, families, and the broader community through a holistic approach to employment and personal growth.
