Elsie is a Morton College graduate with her Associates in Science and is currently at Illinois Institute of Technology for her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering. Elsie’s passion for helping others and her community began in junior high when she joined a reading club, where older children helped younger students with reading and comprehension skills. She went on to be mentored by former Cease Fire and Corazon staff. Her passions grew even more when she became a Health Ambassador in 2012.
She hopes to diversify her industry, creating opportunities for young teen mothers to push into STEM and continue to support her community. Her goal as a community organizer is to support her team and her community, while bridging the gap between the two,
