Youth Mentor
Angel Gaona serves as a Youth Mentor, dedicating his time to guiding and supporting students in a high school environment. Drawing from his own experiences and deep-rooted connection to the community, he fosters leadership, personal growth, and emotional well-being among the youth. As a former member of the Fuerza community and a participant in the Health Ambassador Program since his junior year in 2017, Angel has long been committed to youth empowerment. He is also the lead and founder of the Youth Leadership Program, Youth Council, which engages young leaders in creating and executing cultural events and educational initiatives. Through this program, he helps develop leadership skills among participants, preparing them for future academic and career success.
In addition to his work in youth mentorship, Angel is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design with a Minor in Marketing at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). Passionate about both the arts and shaping the future of the Latinx community, he strives to merge creativity with advocacy. Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Angel enjoys watching the latest films in theaters, embracing his love for cinema as a dedicated movie buff.
