Born and raised in Cicero, IL by teen parents, Alexis was the first in her family to graduate from college. Upon receiving her Bachelor's in Aviation Business Administration, she worked for the federal government for almost ten years. In this role, she gained experience in program and management analysis, human resources, and more. Today, she continues her human resources journey in the medical field. When she’s not working her full-time job, she spends time with her family or in the gym coaching volleyball. She enjoys helping others grow and develop. She chooses to serve on the Corazón Board of Directors because she believes in the agency’s mission and community involvement. She says she would not be where she is today without the community that shaped her. She hopes to do the same alongside Corazón.
